Who we are
NextLayer Labs ("we", "us") is an IT consulting and technology services company based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through nextlayerlabs.in (the "Website"). We act as the Data Fiduciary for this data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
What we collect
Contact form: when you send us a message we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you are interested in, and the content of your message.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Website. It records information such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and referring site, using cookies set on your device.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive data, payment details, or data about children through the Website.
How we use it
We use contact form data only to respond to your enquiry, discuss and deliver the services you asked about, and keep a record of our correspondence.
We use analytics data in aggregate to improve the Website's content and performance.
We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
Consent
By submitting the contact form you consent to us processing the data you provide for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
Where your data is stored and who can access it
Contact form submissions are stored in a Google Sheet in our Google account. Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. Google acts as our service provider and may store data on servers outside India.
Access within NextLayer Labs is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. We may disclose data if required by law or a lawful request from authorities.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only for as long as needed to respond to you and for any resulting business relationship, and delete it when it is no longer needed or when you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in our Analytics account.
Cookies
The Website itself does not set cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, without affecting your ability to use the Website.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to: obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed; ask us to correct, complete, update, or erase it; withdraw your consent; nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf; and raise a grievance with us.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access-controlled accounts and encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach where the law requires it.
